American Ambulance Service, Inc, is a subsidiary of the Hartford HealthCare EMS Network, a comprehensive, multidisciplinary EMS system which includes licensed EMS agencies, hospital - based paramedic response resources, air-medical response resources, education and research, and hospital-based coordinators and medical directors.
PREPARE TO BECOME AN EMT/EARN AS YOU LEARN!
As part of the Community Emergency Responder Academy (CERA), the EMT Recruit will complete a rigorous, but exciting 7-week course of study comprised of both classroom, practical laboratory stations and hands-on training/ambulance ride time that will prepare them to become an EMT at no cost, all while earning a training wage during the entire program.
Upon successful completion of the Academy, students will sit for the National Registry examination which once achieved, will also make them eligible for Connecticut EMT certification. Upon certification, the trainee will be eligible to work as a full-time American Ambulance EMT.
